The preponderance of evidence is that CO₂ *is* driving global warming. As you have conceded, the indication of a trend in OLR is inconclusive at best. As I said down-thread, I respect your right to set whatever standards (I was frustrated and called them "arbitrary"; that was unnecessary) you wish for your personal beliefs, but in science, the standard for "leading hypothesis" is the preponderance of evidence and most successful predictions, not omniscience nor perfection.
So until you are able to conclusively demonstrate that OLR disproves the current preponderance of evidence, public policy discussions will proceed according to the facts that we do have, which clearly indicate a need to slow, then halt, then reverse the society-changing deleterious side effects of CO₂ pollution from petroleum and coal.
