Maybe. But Jones has been harassed by random strangers on the streets and inundated with DEATH THREATS for supposedly ... well, you know, the whole Al Gore / Bilderburg / Rothschild hyperventilating nonsense about carbon trading, the next financial bubble only more so, etc ad absurdum.
So anyway, those accusations Dr. Jones heard from random strangers started somewhere and I think both civil and criminal charges need to be pressed. At least I'm assuming that incitement and fighting words are as illegal in Britain as here in the United States. Consider also that ALL of the most violent imagery of the teabaggers is directly attributable to the same source which is the primary sponsor of anti-climate propaganda: Koch Industries, especially via "Americans" for (the Koch brothers') Prosperity.

I have heard about the difficulty of proving defamation, but Jones also has grounds for harassment, reckless endangerment and death threats by proxy, ie, "conspiracy to commit" the aforementioned.
