The policies to reduce CO₂ output are identical to the policies to achieve our other important national goals. Almost half of voters say they aren't "sure" about global warming, depending how surveys are phrased, but ask about policy and it's nearly unanimous. So, if you're part of the vast sensible majority who support those policies, why do you bother to dispute people with superior expertise in physical science (and we do, and you know it) who advocate the same policies for one different reason on top of all the other reasons that we have in common?
