Global Warming Measurements Don't Account For 'Missing Heat'

The scientists have examined the same data and reached a different conclusion, gui.

As we have discussed previously, looking in the ocean for climate change is a very good idea. Since the heat capacity of the land surface is so small compared to the ocean, any significant imbalance in the planetary radiation budget (the solar in minus the longwave out) must end up increasing the heat content in the ocean.

Same observables, opposite conclusion. At this point, I have to tell you that on its face, your conservation of energy argument makes more sense to me. Obviously, energy detectable in space is no longer within the Earth system and is therefore "lost" to Earth, which should cool us. That is why I have only questioned whether you have really identified a trend. But it seems that we are both misunderstanding something crucial, and I, for one, intend to learn what that is.
