Gulf Oil Cleanup: 100-Ton Concrete-And-Steel Contraption Hauled To Well

Between the hole on the bottom of the ocean floor and the deposit are 13,000 feet of sand, rock, etc.

A modest amount of explosive, somewhere near the base of the existing "well" (truth: it's an oil geyser) should cave in the narrow hole. Just knocking the pipe out and sand-bagging the hole might do it. Materials scientists, mining engineers and explosives experts should have NO TROUBLE determining exactly how deep to drill holes for such explosives, what type of explosives, and how far from the oil geyser to drill them, to be absolutely sure of caving it in. As long as none of them are on the petroleum payroll.

The relief well "idea" is nothing but a scam to keep pumping oil. How do I know, absolutely for certain?

DUH.
