"Ad-hominems and running away is all you've got?"
That's all they've ever had!
Oh, sure, they'll dump out some variety of logical fallacies, mostly straw men, but their distinct pattern is ultimate reliance on the ad hominem. Typically, they find one imagined error or shortcoming, assume it's intentional (which of course is "red meat" to their fellow innumerate, scientific incompetents who range from former high school jock burnouts to lifelong plain-old loser burnouts), then extend that presumed but known-false accusation of the scientist or advocate's dishonesty to everybody who refuses to worship their obsolete 19th-century technology.
And whenever truth tellers outnumber their fellow illiterate incompetents, they run away like cockroaches.
